Journal of Prosthodontics CiteScore Increases to 9.4
The 2026 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) covering 2025 data have just been released, and with it the 2025 Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) and Journal Impact Factor (JIF).
The Journal of Prosthodontics’ 2025 Impact Factor is 3.6 and the 5-year IF is 4.9. The JCI is 1.36. The Journal ranks 31/165 in the Dentistry, Oral Surgery & Medicine category in the JCR.
In addition to these JCR metrics, the JOP now has a CiteScore of 9.4 (up from 7.9 in 2024). CiteScores calculates the average number of citations received in 4 calendar years to 5 peer-reviewed document types (research articles, review articles, conference proceedings, data papers, and book chapters) published in a journal in the same four years. With this CiteScore, the JOP has a ranking of 6/140 in the General Dentistry category.
We are proud that our strong citation metrics and quality indicators reflect the journal’s continued success. While journal performance can be measured in many ways, we remain committed to supporting authors throughout the publication process, providing guidance for our volunteer reviewers and editors, rapid first decisions, and—thanks to an expanded 2026 page budget—more articles in each issue.
Additional information about the Journal and performance metrics is available online. ACP members can access all published articles and issues through prosthodontics.org and submit original research, clinical case reports, technique reports, or systematic reviews through our Research Exchange platform.
