ACP President Represents the Specialty in Shanghai
ACP President Kenneth Kurtz, DDS, FACP, recently delivered a keynote presentation at the 20th meeting of the Chinese Prosthodontic Society in Shanghai, China, connecting with prosthodontic colleagues and educators from around the world.
The meeting also highlighted connections between the ACP community and international prosthodontic research - presenter Dr. Yu Haiyang of the West China School of Stomatology highlighted research published in the Journal of Prosthodontics during his presentation. ACP resident member Dr. Jingyi ‘Jamie’ Yang from Harvard also served as moderator for the “Challenging Clinical Case” presentations at the meeting.
During his visit, Dr. Kurtz also had the opportunity to visit Fudan University and learn more about its simulation lab and emerging technologies in dental education.
“It was our great honor to welcome you to China for the 20th Meeting of the Chinese Prosthodontic Society,” said Dr. Xianquan Jiang, President of the Chinese Prosthodontic Society. “We greatly enjoyed your outstanding keynote presentation, as well as your lectures and academic discussions with our students and faculty at Fudan University Dental Hospital. Your talk was truly memorable and inspiring to everyone in attendance, and we look forward to continued academic exchanges and reciprocal visits in the years ahead.” Dr. Jiang is also Dean, Shanghai Stomatological Hospital, Fudan University.
The visit offered an opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen international relationships, and see firsthand how prosthodontic education and research are advancing around the world.
