Nominations for the 2027 ACP Board of Directors is Now Open!
The American College of Prosthodontists is accepting nominations for positions on the 2027 Board of Directors until April 6.
Any active ACP Members or Fellows are eligible to run for a position on our Board of Directors. If you want to shape the future of the ACP and our specialty, this is your chance to make your mark!
As a member of the Board of Directors, you will make decisions on the strategic direction of the college, have a say in the financial oversight, and have a direct impact on the direction for professional education.
The ACP values and seeks diverse leadership and encourages all members to run regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, geographic location, or professional level.
We are currently accepting nominations for the following positions:
Open ACP Board Positions:
- Vice President - 1-year term, ascends to President-Elect, then President. Nominee currently on ACP Board or off the Board three years or less.
- Treasurer - Oversee the financials of the College, submit detailed reports to the Board of Directors, serve on the Finance and Executive Committee - 3-year term, eligible for a second term.
- Director, Maxillofacial Prosthetics Division - Monitors the delivery of maxillofacial prosthetic services by prosthodontists, strategically coordinates the activities of the ACP with other medical societies devoted to maxillofacial patient care, is an active member of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and the ACP - 3-year term, eligible for a second term.
- Director, Public Relations & Communications - Promote the specialty and guides the public relations of the College, oversees and guides messaging to raise awareness of prosthodontics - 3-year term, eligible for a second term.
- Regional Membership Director, Region 4 Rockies/Plains - Represents members from their region on the Board - 3-year term, eligible for a second term.
- Regional Membership Director, Region 7 International - Represents members from their region on the Board - 3-year term, eligible for a second term.
- Vice Chair, ACP Education Foundation - Represents the ACP Education Foundation - 3-year term, ascends to ACP Education Foundation Chair.
ACP Board Positions with incumbent eligible to seek additional term:
- Secretary - Records and tracks the proceedings of the Board of Directors meetings, prepares final minutes, and maintain the official file of the minutes for the College, serves as member of the Executive and Judicial Committees - 3-year term, eligible for a second term.
- Director, Prosthodontic Practice & Patient Care - Develops all resource material for members addressing clinical and specialty patient care, improve standard of prosthodontic treatment, and develop strategies that will facilitate the delivery of optimal prosthodontic care – 3-year term, eligible for second term.
- Regional Membership Director, Region 2 Eastern - Represents members from their region on the Board - 3-year term, eligible for a second term.
- Regional Membership Director, Region 5 Pacific - Represents members from their region on the Board - 3-year term, eligible for a second term.
Open Council Position:
- Private Practitioner Representative – The Council provides an objective and inclusive mechanism for the identification, nomination, and selection of candidates to be placed on the ballot for the annual election of the examiner-elect of the ABP by the Diplomates of the Board - 4-year term, eligible for second term.
Council Position with incumbent seeking additional term:
