KY Section Prosthodontics Study Club Dinner
Do you know that studies suggests dentists cause implant failure?
To know more about this particular issue, you are invited to a special “Interdisciplinary Study Club” meeting Directed by Dr. Sarah Foard-Johnson
Thursday, September 27, 2018
This course is supported by ACP KY Section and WhipMix Corp.
“Dose implant failure a responsibility of the surgeon or the restorative dentist?”
By reviewing the records of patients who had received implant restorations over a period of ten years, the researchers found that 12% of implants failed when clinicians had less than five years of experience in the field. Implants were also twice as likely to fail if the surgeon had performed less than 50 implantations in his career, they report.
At the conclusion of this presentation, the participants will have been offered information enabling a careful review of increasing collaboration between disciplines to enhance standard of care and interdisciplinary treatment approach.
- Each member is encouraged to invite only two other specialists to attend as guests such as; Oral Surgeon, Periodontist, Orthodontist, Endodontist, or other dental specialty. Please provide names and emails of your invited guests. Room is limited for maximum of 40 people.
