ACP Missouri and Kansas Section Meeting Highlight
On June 7, 2025, the MO and KS Sections of the ACP had their “Third day of Learning” for both sections at the UMKC School of Dentistry.
In addition to the officers and members of the sections, attendees included prosthodontists in private practice and academics, as well as general dentists and industry representatives.
This event is intended as an annual event with the vision of bringing together Missouri and Kansas dental professionals and creating a collaborative environment where all can learn and improve to better treat patients.
ACP Missouri Section President Dr. Gustavo Leal opened the session by thanking the sponsors, speakers, and board members for their contributions.
It consisted of three lectures:
- “Prosthodontic considerations in full arch fixed planning and restoration”, presented by Dr. Mikal Lindman, a prosthodontist in private practice in Overland Park, Kansas.
- “All-on-X Redefined: Enhancing Predictability with Digital Smile Design & ICam 4D” presented by Dr. Joseph Khalil, a prosthodontist in private practice in Arlington, Virginia.
- “Information needed to speak with the implant surgeon about basic treatment planning principles for the edentulous arch” presented by Dr. Barry Goldenberg, a prosthodontist in private practice in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Paul Luepke, Dean of the UMKC School of Dentistry was in attendance at the event and addressed the participants to introduce himself as the new Dean of the UMKC School of Dentistry. Q&A sessions were available at the end of the sessions. Four continuing education credits were provided.
