The American College of Prosthodontists is excited to welcome everyone to the 2025 Annual Session of the ACP, taking place in New Orleans, Oct. 22-25.
Led by program chair Dr. Van Ramos, Jr. and ACP President Dr. Douglas Benting, Practical Prosthodontics: Concepts & Techniques for Immediate Implementation will provide actionable insights that can be applied as soon as the meeting ends!

On-Demand Access: ACP members who were not able to attend the meeting live can purchase on-demand access, which includes the opportunity to earn applicable CE credits, for $849, non-members for $1,590, and residents for $255. Interested? Contact us at education@prosthodontics.org.
All in-person Annual Session attendees will receive access to the on-demand recordings as part of their in-person registration fee.
There will not be a live-streaming option for the 2025 Annual Session.
Payment: Payment in full is required to process online registrations. We welcome payments in the form of American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and checks payable to ACP.
Cancellations: Refunds, minus a $75 administrative fee, will be issued with a written cancellation notice sent to education@prosthodontics.org on or before Friday, Sept. 26. Registration fees will only be refunded to the person who paid the registration fees, by the same method as the original payment (i.e., credit card, check, etc.). Telephone cancellations ARE NOT accepted. No refund requests will be considered after Sept. 26. No refunds will be issued in the event of a no show.
Substitutions are gladly accepted! Substitutions of registrations are permitted prior to the event start date by submitting a written request to education@prosthodontics.org. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution.
Consent Clause: Registration and attendance at, or participation in, ACP meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in recordings, both live and on-demand, photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities by ACP and other third parties, including but not limited the venue, the host city, and the host CVB.
Program Changes: The ACP reserves the right to update programming as necessary and without prior notice. If a substitution or change is necessary, all materials will be updated accordingly.

Resident & Dental Student Digital Poster Competition
The 2025 Resident & Dental Student Digital Poster Competition will take place Oct. 22-24 in New Orleans during the 2025 Annual Session of the ACP. This competition is meant to promote prosthodontic research and engage with residents and predoctoral dental students.
Eligibility: Resident applicants must be currently enrolled in a 3-4 year advanced training program in prosthodontics accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Graduates who have completed a CODA-accredited advanced prosthodontics program within 6 months prior to the event are eligible. Dental students must be currently enrolled in a CODA-accredited DDS/DMD dental program in North America.
Competition: There are three competition categories, residents must choose to submit under Original Research or Case Presentation, all predoctoral entries compete in the Dental Student Competition. Participants will have their posters scored by four judges. Three judges will evaluate the submitted poster before the event, and one judge will evaluate the poster presentation on site. The top 3 in each category will be recognized on the main stage at the conclusion of general session on Friday, Oct. 24.
John J. Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition finalists will not be eligible to present in the poster competition.

Aug. 8 - Completed Abstract Submissions Due (This includes completed abstracts, COI form, and Annual Session registration)
Sept. 21 - Poster Submission Deadline (Accepted abstracts will be notified late August)

John J. Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition
The John J. Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition, sponsored by the ACP Education Foundation will take place Oct. 23 during the 2025 Annual Session of the ACP. This competition is held to support and celebrate original research in prosthodontics by residents.
The ACP strongly encourages all programs to participate in this competition.
Eligibility: Individuals are eligible if they are currently enrolled in a postdoctoral prosthodontic program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or have completed such a program in the last three (3) years and are an Active Member, Fellow, or Resident Member, in good standing, of the American College of Prosthodontists. Manuscripts must not have been previously accepted for publication (except for Journal of Prosthodontics (JOP) acceptance) and are eligible for publication in the JOP.
Finalists: For the first time in recent history the six finalists will present live on the main podium during the Annual Session on Thursday, Oct. 23. Each finalist will be given 15 minutes to present to the Research Committee and audience, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A from the Research Committee.

The submission period for the 2025 John J. Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition is now closed. Finalists will be notified via email and will present live on the main stage at the Annual Session.
Continuing Education Hours: Attendees are eligible to receive up to 19.25 continuing education credits for general sessions (attendees may claim fewer hours in accordance with their actual attendance).
Additional hours are available for attending the following sessions:
- Joint Educators Meeting
- Journal of Prosthodontics Workshop (ticketed event)
- ACP Board Preparation Course (ticketed event)
Attendees must complete an evaluation to receive a verification of participation (CE) form. Your sessions must be attended in their entirety. Partial credit for individual sessions is not available. If you are seeking continuing education credit for a specialty not listed below, it is your responsibility to contact your licensing/certification board to determine course eligibility for your licensing/certification requirement.
The American College of Prosthodontists is an ADA-CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professional in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

The American College of Prosthodontists is a National Board of Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology (NBC) approved continuing education provider for dental technicians. Continuing education credit awarded for participation in the CE activity may not apply toward license renewal in all states. It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of his/her state licensing board(s) and submit the form provided by the ACP to receive credit.

ACP Meetings Code of Conduct Policy
ACP is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all meeting participants and ACP staff. All participants, including attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, ACP staff members, service providers, and others are expected to abide by this Meeting Code of Conduct. This policy applies to all ACP meeting-related events, including those sponsored by organizations other than ACP but held in conjunction with ACP events, on public or private platforms. ACP has zero-tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment by participants or our staff at our meetings. If you experience harassment or hear of any incidents of unacceptable behavior, ACP asks that you inform either ACP Executive Director Chris Welber or the ACP President so that we can take the appropriate action.
Unacceptable behavior is defined as:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, ACP staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest. Examples of verbal abuse include, but are not limited to, verbal comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin, inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations, or threatening or stalking any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, ACP staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest.
- Disruption of presentations during sessions, in the exhibit hall, or at other events organized by ACP throughout the meeting. All participants must comply with the instructions of the moderator and any ACP staff.
- Presentations, postings, and messages should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services.
ACP reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban sources of those solicitations. ACP reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the meeting without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, and ACP reserves the right to prohibit attendance at any future meeting, virtually or in person.
