2025 Northeast Region 1 Private Practice Prosthodontist Award
The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) honored Dr. Vincent J. Mariano with the Private Practice Prosthodontist Award for the Northeast Region 1 of the ACP at the 2025 Annual Awards & President’s Dinner held at the 55th Annual Session of the ACP on Oct. 24 in New Orleans. This award recognizes private practice prosthodontists who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the specialty of prosthodontics, through prosthodontic practice, enhancing the public’s understanding of the role of a private practice prosthodontist in comprehensive oral health care as well as exemplifying collegiality and cross discipline outreach, or exemplary community service.
Dr. Vincent J. Mariano received both his DMD and post doctoral training in prosthodontics from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, later earning board certification in 1993. In 1984, he established the first prosthodontic specialty practice in western Massachusetts, creating a referral-based model built on collaboration and trust with general dentists and specialists throughout the region.
Dr. Mariano has remained closely connected to Tufts, serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor in postgraduate prosthodontics and is a founding member of the Tufts Prosthodontics Charitable Alumni Organization. He is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and is an active member of several other esteemed dental organizations.
Dr. Mariano is the founder of EMA Dental Prosthodontics P.C., part of the EMA Family Dental Health Group P.C., which has grown to three locations, 22 clinical chairs, 10 doctors, and more than 50 staff.
