2025 International Region 7 Private Practice Prosthodontist Award
The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) honored Dr. Kirk Preston with the Private Practice Prosthodontist Award for the International Region 7 of the ACP at the 2025 Annual Awards & President’s Dinner held at the 55th Annual Session of the ACP on Oct. 24 in New Orleans. This award recognizes private practice prosthodontists who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the specialty of prosthodontics, through prosthodontic practice, enhancing the public’s understanding of the role of a private practice prosthodontist in comprehensive oral health care as well as exemplifying collegiality and cross discipline outreach, or exemplary community service.
Dr. Kirk Preston completed his dental education at Dalhousie University Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Following graduation, he purchased a small solo dental practice in Fredericton, New Brunswick, where he practiced general dentistry. After 9 years of private practice, he went on to complete a 3 year MS in prosthodontics at the University of Toronto.
Throughout his career, Dr. Preston has held numerous leadership positions at several esteemed dental organizations. His dedication to the field has earned him numerous awards and accolades. A recognized leader in the field, he frequently lectures and takes every opportunity to promote the significant role of prosthodontics in the dental community.
Currently, Dr. Preston operates a full time practice in Fredericton, New Brunswick, specializing in prosthodontics. He has been a long standing member of the American College of Prosthodontists.
