2025 Distinguished Service Award

The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) honored Dr. Leonard Kobren with the 2025 Distinguished Service Award at the Annual Awards & President's Dinner held at the 55th Annual Session of the ACP, on Oct. 24 in New Orleans. This award recognizes outstanding service to the College and the characteristics of a true humanitarian.

Dr. Leonard Kobren started his dental career in 1973 joining his father’s private general dental practice. In 1979, he earned his certificate in prosthodontics from New York University. Dr. Kobren has a passion for mentoring dental students, residents, and colleagues to extend their professional horizons and broaden their professional ambitions. His mentorship extends to undergraduate students at Touro College of Dental Medicine, where he established the, “Dean’s Lecture Series,” an initiative that introduces students to advanced clinical excellence and exposes them to the possibilities of specialization with a focus on prosthodontics. He continues to share his clinical experience and advocacy for the specialty with postgraduate prosthodontic and GPR residents across the region.
