Sharry Awards: Now Accepting Applications

The John J. Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition is held during the Annual Session of the American College of Prosthodontists. The 2016 competition will be held on Friday, Oct. 7 in San Diego.

Sponsored by the ACP Education Foundation, the Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition is held to stimulate and acknowledge original research in prosthodontics by residents/students. The ACP Research Committee strongly encourages all programs to participate in this competition.

Abstracts are due by May 23. Please read the submission guidelines carefully.

Eligibility: Residents are eligible if they are currently enrolled in a postdoctoral prosthodontic program or have completed such a program in the last three years. Papers may not have previously appeared in print.

Finalists: The six selected finalists will receive one night hotel stay up to $250 and U.S. domestic airfare (booked 30 days in advance) up to $600 to present their papers at the ACP Annual Session. Cash awards of $1,250 for 1st place, $750 for 2nd place, and $500 for 3rd place will be presented to the finalists at the Resident & New Prosthodontist Reception.
