This is what a day in the life of a Restorative Doctor at Nuvia looks like:

  1. Reviewing patient info and cone beam CT scans to diagnose and treatment plan all-on-4 treatment
  2. Creating preoperative prosthodontic plans to communicate needs and collaborate with treating surgeon.
  3. Check in during surgeries to provide prosthodontic guidance.
  4. Gather records at the end of surgery according to Nuvia's unique workflow and create lab prescriptions.
  5. Deliver next day permanent restorations to the previous day's surgical patient.
  6. Follow up appointments

The biggest challenge of this position is managing your patient’s expectations while juggling both the digital and analog pieces of the AO4 workflow.

Graduate Program Director of Prosthodontics Position Avaliable

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry is recruiting for a Graduate Program Director of Prosthodontics in the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health. The rank, salary, and responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic accomplishments. The successful candidate will be expected to serve in the administrative role as the Graduate Program Director of Prosthodontics, which includes resident recruitment, developing schedules, didactic programs, and all other duties associated with the three years master’s degree. Additionally, the candidate will participate in teaching pre-doctoral students; participate in research and publish in peer-reviewed journals; participate in duties consistent with School and University requirements for performance, scholarship; and participate in the Dental Faculty Practice.

The candidate must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree, advanced dental education in prosthodontics from a CODA accredited program, and be board certified from the American Board of Prosthodontics. Excellent oral and written communication skills and a commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and collegiality are required.

Clinical and academic experience is desirable. Leadership, administrative, supervisory, and CODA accreditation experiences are preferred.

The Kornberg School of Dentistry, an innovative school with modern facilities, including a new digital lab, and a large population of patients, is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position as a clinical-track Prosthodontist in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. Major responsibilities include clinical and didactic teaching, and provision of care and supervision of cases with advanced prosthodontic treatment. Must have or be eligible for a PA dental license. Applicants who are eligible for teaching licenses in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania after graduating from a CODA-accredited postgraduate program in prosthodontics are eligible to apply. Applicants who graduated from a CODA-accredited postgraduate program in prosthodontics and hold a DDS/DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school will have preference. Candidates with academic and practice experience in the US or Canada will be preferred.
