Root Shield: What Have We Learned Over the Past 12 Years?

Leaving a fragment of root (root shield) during esthetic immediate implant placement has risen in popularity recently. The question remains is it a safe procedure? Does the benefit outweigh any possible risk? This presentation will show what was learned over the past 12 years on this procedure.

Biography: Dr. Joseph Kan received his prosthodontic and implant dentistry training from Loma Linda University. He is a professor and maintains a private practice.
