Join your colleagues for the 38th Annual Session of the ACP in Nashville. Get connected at “the” meeting to attend in the field of prosthodontics, offering a variety of events and opportunities to meet up with old friends and network with new colleagues. The Gaylord Opryland Resort® and Convention Center will host our group this fall, offering a variety of attractions within the resort’s majestic, climate-controlled glass atriums. You’ll be surrounded by nine acres of lush indoor gardens, winding rivers and pathways, and sparkling waterfalls where you can unwind, explore, shop, dine, and be entertained to your heart’s content.

New this year! 2008 ACP Annual Membership Assembly and Leadership Conference
October 29
1-4 p.m.
The purpose of the first annual ACP membership assembly is to strengthen member leadership skills and to provide a forum for Section leaders and members to communicate and share ideas, problems and solutions. It is anticipated that, by attending the assembly, participants will gain a greater appreciation of the College, become more enthusiastic and involved volunteers, and take home some useful tips on developing and growing their practices.


Technology Forum
November 1 – 9 a.m. to Noon 
8 a.m. Continental Breakfast
The 2008 Technology Forum has been expanded and enhanced to include a record number of participating companies. This is a great opportunity to explore what’s new in the specialty. Companies on the leading edge of innovative technologies will host demonstrations and mini-lectures on key topics in prosthodontics.

President's Dinner
October 31 – 6 to 10 p.m.
Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum
Fee: $225

(Fee includes roundtrip transportation, tour of museum, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and drinks.)

Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an evening with colleagues and tour the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. This event includes admission to the museum where you can see priceless memorabilia including Elvis's one of a kind custom made Cadillac and enjoy a cocktail reception in the Hall of Fame Rotunda, where the award inductee bronze plaques are displayed for future generations to honor and enjoy, followed by dinner in the conservatory. Busses will depart the hotel promptly at 6:15 p.m.

Enjoy a guided tour of Nashville followed by a viewing of the two current exhibits at the Frist Center for Visual Arts located in down town Nashville. Price inlcudes transportation, museum entrance and souvenir.

About the Frist
THe mission of the Frist Center is to present and originate high quality exhibitions with related educational programs and community outreach activities. The Frist Center opened in April 2001, and since that time has hosted a spectacular array of art from the region, the country, and around the world. Unlike any traditional museum you've ever visited, the Frist Center for the Visual Arts has become a magnet for Nashville's rapidly expanding visual arts scene with an exhibitions schedule that has new art flowing through the magnificent Art Deco building every six to eight weeks.

Group Room Rate: $150 single/double exclusive of applicable taxes (currently 15.25% + $2 flat City tax per night but subject to change) and a $15 resort fee (Resort fee includes wireless internet access in guest rooms and atrium, two bottles of water each day, daily newspaper, in room coffee, complex shuttle, and access to the fitness center)

Reservation Deadline: Please make your reservation by October 1, 2008 to receive the group rate. The hotel will require a deposit of the cost of one night refundable for cancellations made 72 hours prior to the arrival.

Table Clinics Call for Abstract Submission

Calling all prosthodontic residents and predoctoral dental students! Showcase your research and laboratory techniques during the 2008 Annual Session Table Clinics competition. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three finishers in each competition. The submission deadline is August 15.

John J. Sharry Research Competition
All prosthodontic residents are eligible to submit an abstract for the 2008 ACP John J. Sharry Research Competition, sponsored by the ACPEF. Application and guidelines are available online now at www.ACPEF.org. The submission deadline is June 15.
