Academic Alliance Benefits

The ACP Academic Alliance offers a variety of valuable benefits of interest to educators, faculty and researchers working in an academic setting. In addition to providing an opportunity to develop productive relationships and increase communications with other prosthodontic professionals, the ACP offers an array of services:

  • Annual subscription to the Journal of Prosthodontics, which promotes the advanced study and practice of prosthodontics, implant, esthetic and reconstructive dentistry. The bi-monthly journal features original scientific articles presenting information that is new and relevant to the field.
  • Annual subscription to the Messenger, the College’s quarterly newsletter with timely information about the College and its members through columns and news features.
  • Representation with a unified voice. The ACP regularly communicates and interacts with the American Dental Association Council on Dental Education and Licensure and the Commission on Dental Accreditation, as well as other dental specialty organizations, to discuss and remain up-to-date on key issues affecting dental education and the future of the prosthodontic specialty.
  • Job Opportunity postings with available academic and education positions and discounts for ACP members posting an open position.
  • Continuing education to expand your professional knowledge and expertise. The ACP is an ADA-CERP recognized provider of continuing dental education. The Annual Session and Center for Prosthodontic Education offer a balanced mix of clinical lectures, educational sessions and a variety of leisure activities. Discounted registration rates to all ACP continuing education programs apply for Academic Alliance participants.
  • Public Relations and marketing outreach to increase public and professional awareness of the prosthodontic specialty. This includes media placements relevant to the field and on-going marketing, advertising and public relations efforts. In particular, a “Careers in Prosthodontics” campaign will focus on attracting dental students to prosthodontics.

Committed to the esthetic restoration of teeth including bridges, crowns/caps, dental implants, dentures, partial dentures, teeth whitening and veneers.
