21 Reasons to Join the ACP
ACP Memberships

Now is the time to join the organization that represents your specialty. If you have graduated from or are enrolled in an ADA-accredited advanced prosthodontics program; if you are a certified dental laboratory technician; or if you are a member of the prosthodontic academic community you may apply for membership within the American College of Prosthodontists. To represent the specialty with a unified voice, we need you, the prosthodontist, the lab technician, the academician. Join now to gain the member benefits so many of your colleagues are already enjoying.

To join now, review the following categories and click on the title to download the appropriate membership application. Submit with required additional documentation by fax to (312) 573-1257.

The ACP offers the following membership categories:

Member/Fellow — Educationally qualified prosthodontists will be considered for the category of Member. Board-certified prosthodontists (diplomates of the American Board of Prosthodontics) will be considered for the category of Fellow.

Student — Students enrolled in an advanced prosthodontic training program, accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association will be considered for the category of Student. College members who return to school as full-time students in an accredited institution and who elect to apply for this category of membership will also be considered. An individual may retain student member status until termination of his or her formal training in prosthodontics or for a length of time not to exceed six years.

Dental Technician Alliance — Certified dental technicians with proof of formal training in dental technology and one current ACP member-sponsor will be considered for the category of Dental Technician. Dental technicians without proof of formal training may apply for alliance status with two current ACP member-sponsors.

Academic Alliance — Individuals holding an academic teaching appointment within an ADA accredited prosthodontic program or an undergraduate teaching position in the discipline of prosthodontics who are educationally qualified, will be considered for the Academic Alliance. These individuals must spend a minimum of 50 percent of the time teaching as defined by the institution.

Global Alliance — Individuals who have completed an advanced dental education program in prosthodontics that is not ADA accredited will be considered for this category.

Predoctoral Alliance — Predoctoral students who are enrolled in an ADA accredited dental program who are interested in the field of prosthodontics will be considered for the category of Predoctoral Alliance. Predoctoral students also must be a current member of the American Student Dental Association.  Predoctoral Student Alliance Membership dues are supported by the American College of Prosthodontists.
